Women7 Women’s dialogue

Women7 (W7) is an international group of feminist organisations and civil society advocacy groups. Together they advocate for gender equality in the G7 negotiations and formulate demands to the heads of state and government.

Task of the Women7

By developing recommendations, sharing best practices and reporting on experience, the W7 ensures that the voices of feminists and women’s rights organisations are foregrounded in the G7 process and heard by heads of state and government.

The aim is for the G7 countries to make concrete political and financial commitments. These commitments are to lead to tangible, lasting and transformative impacts on the lives of women and girls everywhere.

The W7 dialogue is a multi-level consultative process at national and international level consisting of several discussion formats and coordinated advocacy.

Women7 priorities

The W7 Dialogue 2022 will focus on the following priority topics:

  • Economic justice and rights
  • Gender-responsive management of the COVID 19 pandemic
  • Climate justice
  • Feminist foreign policy
  • Gender-based violence
  • Accountability mechanisms of the G7

On 24 and 25 May 2022, the representatives of the W7 network met at the W7 summit to hand over the elaborated demands to the G7 Presidency and to enter into dialogue with G7 decision-makers and representatives of national and international civil society.
