The Federal Minister of Education and Research, Bettina Stark-Watzinger, will host and lead the work process of the G7 science ministers until 31 December 2022.
Here, G7 science ministers will discuss current issues and challenges in the area of research and science.
Germany is pursuing the following work priorities under the so-called “G7 Science Track”:
- Protecting the freedom, integrity and security of science and research
- Contribution of research to combating climate change
- Research on Post-Covid
In addition to these priorities, the science ministers will continue to pursue items from the previous G7 agenda.
Under the German G7 Presidency, the science ministers met on 12 to 14 June 2022 in Frankfurt.
