Rebuilding Ukraine is an inter-generational task. It amounted to no less than a Marshall Plan for Ukraine, Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz emphasised at the start of the Expert Conference on the Recovery, Reconstruction and Modernisation of Ukraine. EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also spoke during the opening plenary of the conference.
